Ralph's ideal home

Ralph is looking for calm and predictable home with adopters who will advocate for him in situations he may find uncomfortable. He can live with children aged 14 and over who can play calmly with him when he wants and give him space to relax and rest when he needs. Ralph cannot live with cats or small furries but but can live with another dog who is calm and polite and is happy to co-exist. This is not a necessity however, he would be happy with polite walking buddies when out and about. Ralph has some training under his belt, he knows his name and does walk nicely on a lead, he would benefit from more fun training to help him build his confidence, he will need a refresher on his house training so a private, secure garden would be preferred. Ralph gets a little worried being left alone so is looking for an adopter who is home the majority of the time, he could build up to being left for short periods of time, but this should be introduced once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a long snooze! Ralph will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.

Gentle and charming Ralph is a 7 and a half year old Greyhound who loves his home comforts. He’s a handsome lad who loves a gentle potter before stretching out and snoozing on his nice squishy bed. Ralph likes to be a shadow, and will stick close to his people and loves a gentle fuss once he knows you. He likes to potter around after toys but does prefer human attention to solo play. This gentle boy will be such a wonderful addition to his new home.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
