About This Dog for Adoption

Ramen's ideal home

Ramen is looking for a new family, and is not too fussy about their lifestyle! He likes to be outdoors, going on fun adventures, but would also be more than happy with the quiet life, spending his days snoozing on the sofa, or something in between! Ramen is a gentle, super friendly lad who can live with children as young as 6 years old. He can live with another sighthound or larger breed of dog, as his prey drive can kick in with smaller, fluffy dogs! For this reason, he is also unsuitable to live with cats. Whilst he hasn’t had much input in the way of training, he is a foodie, and very willing to engage in fun training sessions for some tasty treats. He needs adopters who will be home for the majority of the day, and willing to help work on his separation anxiety as he struggles being left on his own. As an ex-racer, Ramen has likely never lived in a home before, so will need his own private and secure garden to be able to work on his house training. Ramen will need to meet his adopters' multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Ramen's perfect match?

Ramen is our beautiful 4 year old Greyhound who is looking for his fur-ever family where he can finally enjoy some home comforts after spending his life racing. Typical to his breed, Ramen adores leaning on his favourite humans for a fuss, and this is his way of showing his affection. Whilst he enjoys a little zoom around and exploring the outdoors, he is described as being your shadow, and likes to stick by your side. If you’re looking for a delightful, old soul with stunning stripes and a beautiful personality to match, Ramen is the dog for you!

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Greyhound Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
