Mysterio

6 weeks

Mysterio's ideal home

Mysterio is looking for a loving family home that will give him time and patience in his retirement from racing. This handsome hunk loves to explore the world around him and loves to sniff and take in his surroundings. He can live with children aged 8 or older who can understand that he at times will need some peace and quiet, and to give him space when he needs it.
Mysterio could live with another dog that is polite and happy to co-exist. This is not a necessity however, and he would be happy with walking buddies when out and about. Mysterio will not be able to live with cats or small animals due to his racing history.
Having lived most of his life in kennels, he will need housetraining, so a private, secure garden is preferred. Unfortunately, Mysterio has not had any formal training and would need all his basics, he does however love his food which adopters can use to their advantage. He does also walk nicely on the lead. Once settled into is new home, Mysterio could be left for up to 4 hours at a time, but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new family and surroundings.
Mysterio will need to meet her adopters' multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Mysterio's perfect match?

Mysterio is a super sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Greyhound who loves to explore the big wide world around him, and loves to lean onto you for cuddles. He loves his treats and will eat most types gently from your hand. He loves nothing more than a gentle stroll and to take in the world around him before having a cuddle & a snooze. Mysterio also likes making new human and dog friends. He's a chilled guy who enjoys the simple things in life, and is ready for his next adventure!

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Greyhound Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
