Dora
6 weeksDora's ideal home
Dora can live with children of high school age and another dog of a similar size or breed. She's an ex-racer so has most likely spent her life in kennels and may not be house trained or used to spending time alone.
Could you be Dora's perfect match?
Sweet Dora is a curious and gentle girl who is adjusting well to discovering the world away from a race track. Although she's a sensitive gal, she's happy to go out for walks and watch for squirrels, but can lack a little confidence when in new indoor areas. She's likely to find life in a home a little odd at first, so please be patient with her whilst she gets used to her new life. Dora has shown herself to be very affectionate and loves a fuss and a neck scratch, and she's always keen to greet people. She shares her kennel but doesn't seem that bothered about having company but she's relatively relaxed around other dogs unless she finds them too bouncy. She'll pin her ears back and stare hard, so her family should be vigilant for any signs of her not being comfortable around some dogs. We've seen her Greyhound prey drive in action when she spots a squirrel and she will drop down and stalk smaller dogs, so care should always be taken around wildlife and small dogs. Dora has always worn a muzzle and it doesn't bother her one bit.
