Terry

Terry's ideal home

Meet our terrific Terry! A super gentle Greyhound who is ready for find his forever home. Terry is an ex racer and therefore likely doesn't have any experience of home life. He will need patient owners who are able to teach him all he needs to know about life in a home, which will include things like housetraining and learning how to be left. Terry isn't a fan of tile or hard floors, so his new home will need to have either carpet or rugs so he can safely get around with panicking. Terry does wear a muzzle out on his walkies, but he doesn't mind and think's he looks quite handsome! He is a lovely, gentle and affectionate boy who just loves spending time with people. We think he could happily life with children 6+ who are confident around large dogs. He's learning how to be a normal dog and enjoys zooming and bouncing around, playing with toys and finally learning into you for all the fuss! We're currently still assessing Terry's interactions with other dogs so for now he would be best suited to be the only pet.

Could you be Terry's perfect match?

Terry is a wonderful boy, who we know will bring lots of love and happiness to his forever family. He is missing a toe on one of his paws, however this doesn't affect him and definitely doesn't slow down his zoomies!

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Greyhound Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
