About This Dog for Adoption

Rhubarb's ideal home

Say hello to Rhubarb, a 7-year-old greyhound with a heart full of love and a surprising spring in her step! Don’t let her age fool you – Rhubarb is still full of life and loves to play. She’s especially fond of zooming around with her toys and playing a good game of fetch – she might even beat you to the ball!

Rhubarb is a gentle and affectionate soul who gets very excited to meet new people. She’s always happy to make new friends and would thrive in a home where she’ll get plenty of love and attention. While she’s still being assessed around other dogs, she could live with another greyhound in her new home.

She can live with children of any age, as long as they understand she needs some quiet time to rest and recharge ready for zoomies! A secure garden would be a dream come true for Rhubarb, where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her favourite activity: running at top speed for the sheer joy of it.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and loving companion with just the right amount of greyhound goofiness, Rhubarb could be the perfect match for you!

Could you be Rhubarb's perfect match?

Due to her prey drive, Rhubarb will need to be walked wearing a muzzle – but don’t worry, she’s already used to it and handles it beautifully.

Rodney

  • 3 years old

Rodney's ideal home Rodney is ready and raring to start the search for a home! An ex-racer, we don’t know whether he’s been around kids. He’s gentle and calm though, so we think he’ll be able to live with primary school children that can go slowly with him at first. Rodney can share his home with another dog, provided they get along during a dog mix in centre first.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Greyhound Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
