About This Dog for Adoption

Dwynwen's ideal home

Meet Dwynwen! She is a gorgeous 2-year old Greyhound looking for her forever home. Dwynwen was an ex-racer and has not experienced her home comforts as of yet, so we are incredibly excited for her to find her place on her forever sofa with a loving family.
Dwynwen could live with a resident dog, pending a successful meet in the centre (ideally a medium/large size dog due to potential prey drive) or she would love to be rehomed with her pal, Maelon. Dwynwen would love all children in the home to be 11yrs+ while she gets to grips with home life.
She is the sweetest, most angelic greyhound girl who loves nothing more than meeting new people and receiving fusses and rubs. Dwynwen will make herself comfortable by leaning on you and expecting attention!
She is not yet too interested in toys, though we think this may be due to her racer background. Hopefully in her new home, she will learn about all the fun and excitement home living has to offer! Dwynwen is a very foodie girl - very greyhound of her - and will eat just about anything you offer her.
Dwynwen is a dog social girl and mixes well off-lead, but she can get a little bit frustrated when she sees dogs and can't get to them to say hi! Her foodiness will come in really handy with working on this.
We can't wait to see this gorgeous girl all cosied up with her perfect family.

Could you be Dwynwen's perfect match?

Dwynwen is an incredibly sweet girl who cannot wait to learn more about life in a home. She will need some work with her housetraining and time left alone, but we think she will pick this up very quickly.
She walks wonderfully on the lead, and is currently wearing a harness on her adventures. Dwynwen would really love a family that want to take her out for a good sniffy walk, and spend the evening curled up together.
Dwynwen is a good girl for all sorts of handling, tolerating a vet check and a groom. She is a perfect girl for every other form of handling - especially a nice cuddle!

Dogs Trust Adoption Process

Thinking of adopting through Dogs Trust? Here's what to expect before you start your application.

  • Register your interest in adoption on the Dogs Trust website - you can't apply for specific dogs directly.
  • Create an account to favourite dogs you're interested in and help the team understand your preferences.
  • Dogs Trust will match you with dogs that fit your lifestyle and home environment.
  • Some dogs listed here may already be rehomed or reserved, as updates can take time to sync.
  • If matched, you'll go through their adoption and home-check process before taking your new dog home.
