Cornbread

2 days

Cornbread's ideal home

Cornbread is a big, handsome boy who adores fuss and attention from people.
Having come into our care with little previous history, it's possible he has never experienced life in a home before. For this reason, Cornbread will need guidance and support to adjust to home life, including housetraining and learning how to be left alone for short periods.

He’s a friendly and gentle soul, so we believe he could live with children aged 8 and above. Cornbread's absolute favourite thing in the world is toys - he loves to play, zoom around, and toss them into the air with joy!

As an ex-racing greyhound, Cornbread is getting used to wearing a muzzle on walks due to his prey drive. He’s a work in progress, and we’re currently assessing how he interacts with other dogs. For now, Cornbread will need to be the only pet in his new home, though this may change in the future as we learn more about him.

Could you be Cornbread's perfect match?

Cornbread is a true gentle giant. He loves leaning in for affection and we think he’s just the cutest boy, with his beautiful white freckles scattered across his ears and back. This gorgeous lad would adore having a garden to play in and a cosy spot to curl up for a nap.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
