About This Dog for Adoption

Ben's ideal home

Ben is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the only dog. He isn't overly keen on dogs and would rather avoid them if possible. Initially, Ben would like minimal leaving hours whilst he is settling in, but time could be built up slowly once he is happy in his new environment. Ben can be worried by loud, expected sounds and therefore, would appreciate a home that is in a quiet location and away from main roads. He has been known to dislike sharing his food and can be worried by too much handling. Unfortunately, open plan type homes would not be suitable for Ben, as he does sometimes need barriers to help make him feel safe. His ideal home would be easily accessible for him and willing to make modifications like non-slip flooring or matting. Ben has some medical needs, which could lead to additional costs. We will discuss this further if your application is shortlisted.

Could you be Ben's perfect match?

Ben is a charming eight-year-old Greyhound who has unfortunately found himself back in our care. He originally came to us as a young boisterous lad, who had been rescued from a hoarding situation. Ben has matured over the years and is now a gentleman who enjoys the finer things in life, such as tasty treats, soft supportive beds and walks in the sunshine. Ben is looking for a relaxed home to lounge about in; a nice sofa would be ideal. He has struggled with handling in the past and doesn’t like to share so will need owners who are patient, loving and understanding. He loves his treats and his training, and he is very good at it! This is a great way to bond with him. He would love owners who are going to be around to keep him company as he isn't overly keen on being on his own.
