Description

Gwen's ideal home

Gwen is a pretty little two-year-old Greyhound. She is looking for a loving home. She could potentially live with a calm dog and would benefit from having doggie pals when out and about. She will need a home without cats or small furries, and we have no history of her being around livestock. Gwen is an ex-racing Greyhound and is not used to home life, she will need help adjusting to things like housetraining. Time left alone is best build up gradually once she is settled. She is instantly friendly with new people and adores the company. She would best suit a quiet home environment and is looking for a home with a garden.

Could you be Gwen's perfect match?

Gwen is a sweet and affectionate girl. She is happy, bouncy, and enthusiastic, always happy to see you! She likes to do the odd zoomie, from zero to one-hundred, and then back down to zero again. She loves food and treats. She is not yet interested in toys; toys are a new concept for her. Gwen enjoys other dogs joining her out and about on walks, she is happy to do her own thing around them without too much interaction, she enjoys their presence. As an ex-racing Greyhound, Gwen is required to wear her muzzle when out and about as a precaution to keep the local wildlife and small fluffies and furries safe. Gwen is happy to follow a treat to enter the car.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
