About This Dog

Billy's ideal home

Billy is a 4-year-old ex-racing greyhound. Now he’s retired, he is ready to find his forever home! Billy is very affectionate and friendly, so he could live with children if they are used to big dogs and he could live with a similar dog, pending a successful meet here at the centre first. Due to Billy’s natural prey drive, he could not live with cats or small furries. Billy is looking for an enclosed garden to stretch his legs in and a comfy sofa to snooze away on and he can be left for short periods once he is settled into his new home. Billy is fully housetrained.

Billy is currently living off site in a foster home. His foster carer says he’s very friendly and he is coming out of his shell more and more each day. He walks nicely on the lead and he’s good meeting people and dogs out and about. He enjoys playing with his toys and he loves a treat or two!
