About This Dog for Adoption

Tye's ideal home

Tye is on the search for his forever home with adopters who can shower him with all the love he deserves. Tye would happily be the only pet in the home but could live with a similar sized dog in the home. It is not essential for Tye to go to a home with a garden pending that he gets enough exercise. He can find busy roads worrying and would be best suited to living down a quieter road. He can live with primary school aged children who are comfortable around bouncy large dogs. Ideally to begin with he would like minimal leaving hours which can then be built up once he is settled in the home. Tye does have some medical considerations that will be discussed with out vet team upon a booking.

Could you be Tye's perfect match?

Terrific Tye is a wonderful boy with bundles of personality. He is a cuddly boy who loves to lean in for all the love which can make walking hard at times! He loves to go on sniffy walks, meeting human and doggy friends on the way. After a long walk, Tye can often be found curling up in a cosy bed for a long snooze before watching the World go by. Tye loves a tasty treat and will take them gently from your hand. He is a great boy who is sure to bring lots of love to his forever home.

Greyhound Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Greyhound Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
