Lydia
3 weeksLydia's ideal home
Lydia is a beautiful four-year-old Greyhound looking for a loving family to call her own. She is a sweet, gentle soul with a shy nature looking for adopters who are kind, compassionate, and patient. She gains confidence from being with other dogs and will need to live with another dog in the home, a medium to large size, calm, confident dog. She will need a home without cats or small furries, and she could share her home with teenage children. Here at the rehoming centre, she is housetrained. She is new to home living and time left alone is best built up gradually. She would suit a quiet home environment. She is timid around new people so her adopters and their dog will need to come along to the rehoming centre a few times to build a bond.
Could you be Lydia's perfect match?
We have seen ex-racing Greyhound, Lydia grow in confidence in just the short time she has been in our care already, and for her future adopters it will be heartwarming to see her personality shine through as she experiences a family and home comforts for the first time. In her own time Lydia comes over to her carers and enjoys a fuss and gentle ear rubs. She enjoys the company of other dogs who are gentle and calm in nature. She has learnt to wear a muzzle for her walks as she is an ex-racer a muzzle is precautionary to keep the local wildlife safe. She plods along nice and gently on her lead. Lydia is yet to understand what toy play is all about. She enjoys treats, and she likes to snooze. She has been visiting our onsite bungalow to build confidence ready for home life with another dog to show her the way.
