About This Dog

Ben's ideal home

Ben can live with other Greyhounds and children of high school age. He will have spent his life in a kennel environment so please be patient as he may not be house trained or used to being home by himself.

Could you be Ben's perfect match?

Ben is a confident boy as long as his handler is close by! He likes to explore but he's easily spooked by loud noises so maybe a home on a quiet street would be best for him. He's met a lot of dogs at the centre but seems most relaxed around other Greyhounds, and he shares his kennel quite happily with a female one. With other dogs, Ben is happy to walk with them but gets worried when they bark or bounce about. He is very alert to the smaller dogs and wildlife so as an ex-racer, he is always muzzled on walks as a precaution. Ben takes his treats very gently but if there's a an opportunity to stick his face in someone's treat pouch, he doesn't miss it!
