Description

Dottie's ideal home

Dottie is looking for a home with fun loving and active adopters who can take her on exploring adventures and lots of fun play and enrichment to keep her busy. She can live with children aged 10 years and over are comfortable with a playful, bouncy puppy and can give her space to rest when needed. Dottie is friendly bean and could happily live with another dog pending successful meetings at the centre, but this is not a necessity, she would love to have friendly walking buddies, she cannot live with cats or other small furries. Dottie has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and is keen to learn more for a tasty treat. She will need a refresher on her house training so a private or communal garden with high fencing is needed. She can get a little worried being left alone, she could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this will need to be built up gradually after she has had time to settle into her new home. Dottie will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Dottie's perfect match?

Bouncy bundle of fun Dottie is a 10 month old Whippet/Greyhound cross who loves nothing more than to bounce around and play. This gorgeous girls loves toys, soft teddies are her favourite and she will chase them and zoom around with them in her mouth. She is a snuggly little noodle and likes a good fuss, she will lean into you for more and try to give you kisses. Dottie is a sociable butterfly and is very polite and friendly with other dogs, this happy little bean is on the hunt for her new home.

Greyhound Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Greyhound.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
