About This Dog for Adoption

Chelsea's ideal home

Lovely Chelsea is a 6 year old Greyhound. She is looking for a reasonably quiet home without too many comings and goings. Chelsea will need to be kept on lead in public so she would love a secure garden for sunbathing, playing with her toys and zoomies! Chelsea could join a home with children aged 14 and older who have dog experience and can understand she may want her own space sometimes. Chelsea would like to be the only pet in the home but would like some doggy friends to socialise with outside of the home. Once settled, Chelsea could be built up to being left for short periods of time. If you rent your property, please have written landlord permission before applying to adopt a dog.

Could you be Chelsea's perfect match?

Chelsea is quite an independent girl and at times likes her own space to relax in as overhandling can worry her. She can like high value treats and toys a bit too much and can guard them so should have an area she can be left to enjoy these without feeling like they are going to be taken away. Our training and behaviour team will be on hand to help advise how best to manage this in the home. Chelsea has recently gone on a sleepover with one of her friends at the centre who described her as a lovely house guest who let her know when she needed to go out to the toilet and enjoyed snoozing on the sofa. Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.
